Mr. Goodman is a cannabis lawyer and nationally recognized drug policy reformer and specializes in cannabis licensing.
His practice is focused on matters of legal marijuana, hemp, CBD business development and cannabis licensing.
Along with his work as a celebrated Washington Cannabis attorney, Mr. Goodman is a criminal justice expert and state legislator. He is currently serving his tenth term in the Washington State House from the 45th District, which includes the Seattle suburbs of Kirkland and Redmond. Mr. Goodman is also Chair of the House Public Safety Committee, Chair of the Statute Law Committee, a Senior Member of the House Judiciary Committee, and on the House Human Services and Early Learning Committee.
Mr. Goodman has previously served as Director of Washington’s Sentencing Guidelines Commission. In the 1980s and 1990s, he served as Legislative Director, Counsel and Chief of Staff for two senior Democratic Members of the U.S. Congress.
