Katherine González focuses on Administrative Law, Administrative Litigation and Intellectual Property. Ms. González is head of the Administrative Litigation department. Her practice includes providing legal counsel to local and international clients in opposition procedures, cancellation and nullity actions, as well as ordinary and extraordinary administrative recourses.
Previously, she served as head of the Oppositions Area of the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property, position in which she implemented new internal actions and procedures that had a positive impact on the amount of paperwork dispatched. She has also worked in several public sector institutions as legal advisor and sponsorship.

Ms. González has attended several intellectual property advanced courses: Arbitration and Mediation; Intellectual Property Management; Trademarks, Copyrights and Industrial Designs; Advanced International Course on International Property and Business Management, among others, approved by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KYPO).
She has published several articles on Intellectual Property and collaborated with the university initiative “Ecuador gives you the Hand”, whose mission is to vocationally guide young people and educate in the prevention of discrimination.
