Jim Robertson is a flexible, responsive transactional lawyer with broad in-house, corporate and financing experience, covering mergers & acquisitions, commercial finance, construction law, securitization, and project finance transactions. He has structured, negotiated and closed numerous complex domestic and cross-border transactions, and has deep experience with corporate governance.
Prior to joining Zuber Lawler, Mr. Robertson spent almost nine years as in-house counsel for design-build energy services contractor ENGIE Services U.S. (and its predecessor in interest Chevron Energy Solutions Company), where he was responsible for negotiating and closing more than $950 million in revenue-generating transactions.
Before going in-house, Mr. Robertson was a Partner in the Corporate and Finance Group of the Los Angeles and Tokyo offices of Sidley Austin LLP. He is a former chair of the Commercial Transactions (formerly UCC) Committee of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association.
