Eduardo Rios focuses on Intellectual Property and is head of the Anticounterfeiting department.

In the area of Anticounterfeiting, he advises clients on obtaining, consolidating, defending and exploiting their market and intellectual property rights. He encourages civil, criminal, administrative and regulatory actions to ensure compliance with Intellectual Property regulations in Ecuador.

In the area of ​​Dispute Resolution on Intellectual Property issues, he represents clients in administrative and judicial matters, including before the national court of justice and the constitutional court.

Mr. Rios has obtained precedent setting decisions in Ecuador, for example, he obtained the first conviction against drugs counterfeiters, and the first sentence for deception to the buyer, through the sale of counterfeits.
