Gerold Libby is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and consumer finance transactions, and real estate finance transactions (particularly in the hospitality sector). He also focuses on international regulatory matters, including gambling, anti-corruption and sanctions compliance matters. A significant portion of his practice involves the representation of non-U.S. clients, usually based in Asia, in their U.S. business and investment matters, and advising U.S. and European clients doing business in Asia.

Mr. Libby serves on corporate boards, primarily in the manufacturing sector.  He also works with non-profit organizations, and is the General Counsel and Secretary of The World Justice Project, a non-for-profit corporation based in Washington, D.C., which engages in projects which promote the rule of law around the world.

Prior to joining Zuber Lawler Mr. Libby was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP. Early in his career he practiced for three years with one of the largest law firms in Japan, and for one year with a law firm in Korea.  He is a recognized leader of the international bar, having served as Chair of the ABA Section of International Law, and as President of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
